This
is another EXCELLENT classic episode of Pure Rock from Japan, from the very beginning this
is a totally unforgettable show! We have McAuley Schenker Group talking to the puppets, Robin McAuley and Michael Schenker
are apparently drunk, they start goofing off, Robin is slurring and talking in a hilarious high pitched voice at times. Michael
tries to give one of the puppets beer, but the puppet says 'I don't drink, I'm a boy!' and Robin says 'Well you'll never be
a man unless you have a drink!' HAHA! This shows MSG at their FINEST, having fun.
I'm sure those of you MSG fans have seen the Headbangers Ball 1990 episode, Riki's second show with special guests
Robin McAuley and Michael Schenker. Comparing that show to this one, it's a huge difference. Robin and Michael seem so bored
on that episode, they seem as though they don't even want to be there. It's unfortunate because that is such a nostalgic episode
for me, it was personally one of my very first full episodes of HBB I ever saw, yet it was so boring compared to this because
on this show, the guys are so energetic and they seem happy, as if they want to be on the show! Their having fun and enjoying
Japan.
We have some AMAZING music videos on this episode, and the quality is CRYSTAL CLEAR! For
example the Keel - Somebody's Waiting video, in my opinion it's the BEST quality copy.
It looks digital, it's WAY better than the copy that is on the Keel official video collection DVD that I have. We have Autograph - Loud And Clear, excellent quality, all videos are clean except for the tag
at the beginning. Also we have Pretty Maids - Future World, an absolute classic.
I have many
more of these Pure Rock episodes, I just need to find the time to figure out which episodes I have in my collection. Many
like this, most are from 1987 and 1988 although I have some from 1989 and 1990 too.
